Daegwallyeong Snow Festival 2019

The Daegwallyeong Snow Festival is held in the Hoenggye-ri area, which is located in Daegwanryeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. The festival will be full of events for visitors to enjoy.
The Daegwallyeong Snow Festival first began in 1993 and thanks to its increasing popularity each year, the festival was selected as one of the top twelve cultural festivals in Korea in the year 2000. The festival’s venue, Daegwallyeong, is often referred to as the Alps of Korea due to its 700 m high valley that receives heavy snowfall every winter.

Transportation from Seoul:
To get to the Daegwallyeong Snow Festival from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an intercity bus to Heonggye (횡계).
*Bus schedule: 06:32~ 20:05 at 30 min interval.

Exit going right out of the Heonggye Bus Terminal (횡계시외버스공용정류장) and walk along Daegwallyeong-ro Street (대관령로) until you reach the Heonggye Rotary (횡계로타리), (round-a-bout). Turn right onto Jangseon-gil Road (장선길) and the festival is about 200m ahead.
